Explore the Gold Coast's Tamborine Mountain with the scenic Rainforest Skywalk. Journey through the emerald green rainforest, the Skywalk will take you from the Rainforest Eco Gallery and on a scenic and adventurous journey through the middle and upper canopies of the rainforest. The Skywalk walkway is a stable, high-tech steel structure that takes visitors through the canopies safely and securely while providing spectacular views of the surrounding Hinterland region.

After you've explore the top canopies, you can venture down to the lower canopy to follow the signs to some of the areas most popular areas including rock pools, waterfalls, a butterfly lookout and a local history enclosure. There are also various rest areas along the path to the Cantilever which are perfect for sitting and having a break to enjoy the atmosphere. This 40m-long span that soars 30 metres above the valley gives spectacular views over the creek and rainforest canopies below. At the end, the walk returns along the rainforest floor to the Centre to cap off the journey.

April Moulds-Dumbleton 7 months ago This is a great day out, the walk is easy, I am very unfit however I found it easy. The place is spotlessly clean, the tracks all wide and safe. My granddaughter was a little scared of the cantilever however once she saw how strong it was, her fears subsided. What an amazing place to visit. It was just nice to walk the tracks and sit along the way to take in all what nature has to offer. A great place for all ages!
If I have to do it over and over again I would certainly do

If I have to do it over and over again I would certainly do. It was a great family experience. Would be nice if the price is reduced as currently, it is a bit steep. There is enough to do for about an hour. The place is well maintained and the deck is thrilling!

Never thought such an amazing place exists on the Gold Coast

Never thought such an amazing place exists on the Gold Coast. Very serene and peaceful, with lots of wildlife and nature in your surroundings. The entire walk should only take about 30-40 minutes, but I suggest to anyone, take your time and appreciate the surroundings. You don't need to be fit for the walk and anyone at any age would love the entire walk, especially the cantilever which was great fun. Definitely, a must visit at Tamborine Mountain.

The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk provided several great opportunities for photos and was definitely worth the price

The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk provided several great opportunities for photos and was definitely worth the price. The drive up to the skywalk was pretty scenic as well. It was a bit rainy on the day that we visited; I would recommend bringing umbrellas and/or rain jackets to be on the safe side as they are not provided at the skywalk.

A great walk in the bush with some fantastic scenery
Faye Winter 11 months ago

A great walk in the bush with some fantastic scenery. Crossing the sky-walk bridge gave us the jitters but we successfully got to the other end. Well signposted and the paths were clear of rocks, stones or anything else that might trip up an unwary traveller. The cantilever bridge was great once you got the courage to go out there. Well worth it as the view was exceptional. Definitely an activity for all the family!

Awesome walk

Awesome walk. Suitable for the large pram we had and my mother who is 73 years. Would highly recommend to everyone. Lovely staff at the shop and not too long in the heat. The forest was quite different to New Zealand (where we live) yet just as beautiful and interesting. Thank you everyone.

We spent a day at Tambourine Mountain during our 6-day stay at Gold Coast

We spent a day at Tambourine Mountain during our 6-day stay at Gold Coast. One of the memorable experience would be Rainforest Skywalk. The trees are really tall. Children may feel a little bit scared, but a good experience for them to walk over the treetop. It's quite a popular choice among family travelers. We met a few small animals along the path. Quite a good experience.

We had an excellent time and the weather was perfect

We had an excellent time and the weather was perfect! The skywalk was safe even for our 80yo grandma and 1 yo child! The views of the canopy was breathtaking which made the climb up worthwhile. We also went to the nearby glow worm cave and it was fascinating to hear the guide describe the life cycle in detail. Some of the younger kids did cry as you get plunged into darkness upon entering the cave but it takes only a short time to adjust to it.

Beautiful area and lots of good photo-ops
Lauren Wheeler 2 years ago

Beautiful area and lots of good photo-ops, but was disappointed to get there and realize only a small portion of the walk is the "skywalk". Majority of the walk is on a gravel/dirt trail on the ground. Close by is Cedar Creek Falls which is a great swim spot and made driving out there worth the trip!

We had a great time up at Tamborine Mountain and the Skywalk was a lot of fun
Michelle Boyle 2 years ago

We had a great time up at Tamborine Mountain and the Skywalk was a lot of fun!! They say it takes about 45 mins all up if you stop and look and read everything, but really it only took us just under half an hour and we have 2 young kids (18m & 4). It does say it is pram-able, but I would imagine it would be very difficult to push a pram up the hills, so I would suggest to bring a baby carrier if you've got little ones that are just walking. We also back tracked and walked back along the tree top board walk as opposed going down along the path back to the information hub as the kids loved being high up in the trees!! Staff are lovely!!

The recommended walking time for the Skywalk is 1 hour. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately, as the temperatures in the rainforest can be much cooler than down on the beach.
