Location

Explore the Gold Coast's Tamborine Mountain with the scenic Rainforest Skywalk. Journey through the emerald green rainforest, the Skywalk will take you from the Rainforest Eco Gallery and on a scenic and adventurous journey through the middle and upper canopies of the rainforest. The Skywalk walkway is a stable, high-tech steel structure that takes visitors through the canopies safely and securely while providing spectacular views of the surrounding Hinterland region.

After you've explored the top canopies, you can venture down to the lower canopy to follow the signs to some of the areas most popular areas including rock pools, waterfalls, a butterfly lookout and a local history enclosure. There are also various rest areas along the path to the Cantilever which are perfect for sitting and having a break to enjoy the atmosphere. This 40m-long span that soars 30 metres above the valley gives spectacular views over the creek and rainforest canopies below. At the end, the walk returns along the rainforest floor to the Centre to cap off the journey.

What a great place to visit. Close to nature and in the midst of tall trees. Very safe but still gives the thrill of being on top of the world. The high point of the walk was the bridge where you are suspended even more. Also, the staff at the little cafe were welcoming and the food was delicious. Overall value for money.

Tamborine Mountain Rainforest Skywalk was lovely but not really worth the price when there are free walks around also

Tamborine Mountain Rainforest Skywalk was lovely but not really worth the price when there are free walks around also. We stopped at Curtis Falls on the way back and it was stunning! I thought we would see a waterfall at the skywalk but there is none so was pleasantly surprised when we found Curtis Falls.

The Skywalk was impressive
Bernadette Hanisch 2 months ago

The Skywalk was impressive. My only problem was that I thought the walk was actually above the trees not through them. The photo online I thought was a bit misleading yet probably the trees had grown since the time that it was taken. That being said it was thoroughly enjoyable and very informative.

Amazing

Amazing! Loved it! Will bring a toddler and baby next time. A big wide pram may be a hassle, so a stroller and baby carrier will be the best way. The scenery is beautiful and the walk is a decent amount of time. Would definitely do this experience again!

I went to the Tamborine Mountain hoping to see wildlife
Rachel Mugg 5 months ago

I went to the Tamborine Mountain hoping to see wildlife, as there were quite a few photos on their Instagram, so was quite disappointed seeing nothing and believe me we did look. The skywalk is quite cool though and it's not too expensive, for me though I wouldn't go again its basically just trees.

We have been here a few times and it is interesting to see how the scenery changes and the wildlife changes at different times of the year

We have been here a few times and it is interesting to see how the scenery changes and the wildlife changes at different times of the year. This is a really beautiful place and a wonderful walk well worth the money. It is a lot more flat and balanced for people with disabilities more so than a lot of other walks I have been on and is welcoming for people who are not that active or fit. They also have a wonderful café with nice food and great service and a little souvenir shop on site. Booking the experience through this site makes the whole day more seamless and allows more time for having fun and relaxing. My only criticism is that on a really hot day or during certain times in the day certain parts of the walk can get quite hot as some parts are not as well shaded which makes it harder for some people with physical health conditions. I would thoroughly recommend this walk!

Tamborine Mountain Rainforest Skywalk provides the perfect opportunity and location to experience close up and first hand some of Australia's native flora and fauna all under the beautiful and protected setting of the spectacular rainforest canopies

Tamborine Mountain Rainforest Skywalk provides the perfect opportunity and location to experience close up and first hand some of Australia's native flora and fauna all under the beautiful and protected setting of the spectacular rainforest canopies. The elevated walkway takes you up into the trees meandering between the eucalyptus trees, native vines and strangler figs to name a couple with amazing views of the bubbling creek below. Birdsong and insect calls give a musical accompaniment to the majestic forest and information displays help to identify the sights and sounds. A short walk along a guided path is rewarded with stunning views from the cantilever bridge lookout. For the young and old alike and with ample disabled access and an attractive gift shop and cafe the Tamborine Mountain Rainforest Skywalk is well worth a visit.

It's an amazing place to spend some time with the family
Zahid Dar 9 months ago

It's an amazing place to spend some time with the family. Nice adventure in the rainforest and walk over the trees and getting closer to nature is amazing. Not far from Brisbane and Gold Coast. Driving there was easy. The tickets are cheaper and the experience was amazing. Loved it

If I have to do it over and over again I would certainly do
Vivek Krishnamoorthy 10 months ago

If I have to do it over and over again I would certainly do. It was a great family experience. Would be nice if the price is reduced as currently, it is a bit steep. There is enough to do for about an hour. The place is well maintained and the deck is thrilling!

The recommended walking time for the Skywalk is 1 hour. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately, as the temperatures in the rainforest can be much cooler than down on the beach.
